Named for the golden stray who chose Annie and never left her side, Sandy has the same devoted streak. She'll follow you room to room, park herself against your ankle, and look up with a pair of enormous dark brown eyes that make saying no essentially impossible.
Her coat is a warm golden fawn, deepening to a clean black mask across her muzzle and around those eyes, with dark-rimmed ears, a cream chest, and a dark-tipped tail. She is compact, sturdy, and very much a puppy — the first photos we took of her were mostly of her burrowing face-first into a plush toy nearly her own size.
